Harold Sutherland Construction (HSC) has operated as a family run business since opening in 1960. Currently HSC operates 4 licensed quarries and 15 licensed pits serving the Grey and Bruce Counties. A vertically integrated company, HSC provides public and private sector construction services for roads, asphalt paving, sewers and watermains. In addition HSC provides local winter maintenance services, aggregate supply, crushing services, along with the supply and delivery of both ready-mix concrete or asphalt. Harold Sutherland Construction is an active member in the Grey-Bruce community supporting a number of sports teams, healthcare facilities, local charities and the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce.
Panel Representative: Michael Zeidenberg
Mr. Zeidenberg is the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Harold Sutherland Construction managing the business model along with HSC’s senior management team.
Over the past 31 years Mr. Zeidenberg has held senior positions as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager for a number of notable construction companies including The Elmford Group of Companies, The Panigas Group, Losani Homes and Dallas Management Inc, He has specialized in developing and maintaining profitable growth strategies for family run businesses working within the construction sector. His work has emphasized “best practice” solutions for the building of sewers, watermains and roads as well as for big box construction projects, home building and land development..
As an active community member Mr. Zeidenberg has held two volunteer terms as a Director and one term as Vice President for Beth Tikvah Synagogue which merged with Adath Sholom Synagogue. During this merger Mr. Zeidenberg acted as the lead negotiator for the merger, representing Adath Sholom’s interests. Mr. Zeidenberg currently resides in the Owen Sound area and is married with two adult children.
